CHBA Charleston New Homes Tour
Don’t miss this opportunity to see local innovative builders’ new homes!
As the Charleston Home Builders Association (CHBA) predicted last fall, the tri-county real estate market continues to grow in 2016 at a “stabilizing” rate. At the June CHBA luncheon, University of South Carolina research economist Joseph C. Von Nessen was questioned about what a stabilized market means and his response was that we may see 2016 start to plateau, but SC’s economy expects a seventh year of expansion — “the best yet for South Carolina.”
What does this mean for you? Come out for the Charleston New Homes Tour and see! We have dozens of exciting new homes to choose from, new real estate developments around the tri-county, and incredible ideas for home makeovers. And don’t forget, a stable economy brings lower interest rates and banks wanting to lend money!
Phillip Ford, current executive vice president of the CHBA, wants everyone to know that “the CHBA is dedicated to the future of the Lowcountry and works to promote homeownership in local communities with safe, quality and affordable housing.” The Tour is the perfect way for members of the CHBA (residential contractors, remodelers, developers and all the supporting industries) to showcase their products.
The second annual 2016 Charleston New Homes Tour will be a scattered site home tour sponsored by the Charleston Home Builders Association on the second and third weekends of October (10/14-16/16 & 10/21-23/16.) There are almost thirty homes on the Tour this year from James Island & John’s Island to Summerville to Mount Pleasant with price ranges for every budget from $125,000 to $900,000.
The Charleston Floor Plan Book is the official program for the Tour. Floor plan books are proven to have a long shelf life! Consumers hold on to floor plan books for years, dreaming of the perfect kitchen or master bedroom they see in these books. The mobile friendly, digital format is available online for a full year and provides an interactive map that directs those looking to purchase homes to new areas of development in our communities. It’s sort of like a Pinterest of floor plans! Ford reminds all that the Tour is also fun and family-friendly, even for those not currently looking to buy a new home! There are door prizes, snacks and other refreshments and you just may see the remodel you want for your existing kitchen or bath! You get to look at some gorgeous custom homes for ideas without peeking in the windows!
Everyone is invited to come out on either (or both) weekends and enjoy seeing how these new homes may change your life! You just may find that special place to call home, where you can build a lifetime of memories with family and friends.
