The company began building in
Sun City Hilton Head in 1996, and
the quality of its homes, coupled with the neighborhood atmosphere, has
made this active adult community one of the fastest growing in the state.
"These homes were designed to make the most of the space available – very usable and designed with the new lifestyle in mind," says Vice President of Operations Jon Cherry.
With easy access from garages and light, airy, open living areas, the homes were designed for homeowners to enjoy their environment. Part of Sun City's success is due to the variety of recreational opportunities that are available to residents. Del Webb merged with the nationally recognized Pulte Homes in 2000. Upon completion, Sun City will include 8,200 homes. Ten years after the project was launched, just more than half have been completed and sold.
